We were there very early in the evening before things got busy and the wait staff hung around the kitchen area talking, laughing, acting up, hollering over the kitchen area to each other like there was a wall that diners couldn't see and hear this. The chefs were very professional but it is a congregating area for the servers. It is very very small and the kitchen is open for guests to see - which I am not a fan. With that said there are a few things I didn't like. I had the special which was catfish over ravioli and it was the best I have ever had. It is very good fine dining food in a very casual atmosphere. I'll be back.The restuarant is run by the woman who own's the "Putter's" restuarants. This place is great, healthy, trendy and different. The Chef took great care with every plate. From what I saw it was very fresh produce and meat. When writing this review I read some of the previous ones and what surprises me is how they complained about french fries.
It was just a great refreshing surprise, Something this area needed badly. The atmosphere is very trendy something I would see in my travels to California. The soup was a terrific ,very flavorful black bean with a garnish of sour cream and scallions. The 1/2 club was different with hard-boiled eggs and avocados on it. I really like the fact that you could sit and watch your food being prepared either at the counter or the dining room where TVs are displayed above the kitchen. I have been hearing about this place and decided to give it a shot. Stopped by Cozy's on Thursday day and ate at the counter.
